It is convenient to use a steel string to remove glued glass.
Poke the glue line with a pointed tool (such as an awl) and pull the string through the hole.
For the convenience of further work, wrenches can be fixed at the ends of the string, which will serve as handles.
Saw the glue line around the entire perimeter of the glass with a string (you will need an assistant to perform this operation)
Remove the glass from the car
Cut off the old seam, leaving a thin layer of adhesive (1.0–2.0 mm).
Install the frame on the new glass.
Apply the activator/cleaner to the edge of the glass and the window opening around the perimeter.
Apply a primer around the perimeter of the glass
Apply primer to the window opening.
Do not apply primer on the remnants of old glue!
Apply glue evenly on the window opening (layer thickness 0.5 cm)
Apply glue around the perimeter of the glass.
Install the glass assembly with the edging on the car, using the adjusting wedges to set uniform gaps around the perimeter of the window.
Press and secure the glass with masking tape to prevent it from moving downwards.
The polymerization period of the glue is at least two to three hours.
During this time, the car must not be exposed to any external influences.
Even abrupt closing of the door can lead to an increase in air pressure in the passenger compartment and, as a result, to tear off the glass.
It is advisable to start operating the car after gluing the glass no earlier than 24 hours
Replace tailgate glass and sidewall glass in the same way.
