How to dismantle the pipelines of the Lada Largus air conditioner

In the article, we will consider the removal and installation of tubes connecting the entire air conditioning system of a Lada Largus car

Removing the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part)

We prepare the car, install it on a lift or a viewing ditch

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

We bleed the refrigerant from the air conditioning system, as described in the article - How to unload and load the refrigerant of the Lada Largus air conditioning system

Removing the pipelines: 1 - pipeline connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part); 2 - pipeline connecting the condenser to the evaporator; 3 - nut; 4 - pipeline holder; 5 - pipeline fastening bolt; 6 - pipeline connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

With a 10 socket with an extension, unscrew the nut 3, figure 1, holder 4 pipelines

Remove the holder of 4 tubes

Disconnecting the evaporator piping: 1 - piping connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part); 2 - pipeline connecting the condenser to the evaporator; 3 - piping bolts

Using a 13 wrench, unscrew the bolt 3, figure 2, fasteners and disconnect the tube 1 connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part)

With a 13 wrench, unscrew bolt 6, figure 1, fastening pipelines

Disconnect the pipe connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part) from the pipeline connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

Install the plugs in the hole of the evaporator block and on the tubes

Remove the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator

Installation

The installation is carried out in the reverse order:

  • - before installation, add compressor oil to the compressor or condenser, according to the table in the article - How to unload and load the refrigerant of the Lada Largus air conditioning system;
  • - before installing the tubes, you need to replace the o-rings and apply compressor oil to them;
  • - tightening torque of the bolt for fastening the tube connecting the compressor with the evaporator (short part) to the evaporator - 8 Nm;
  • - tightening torque of the bolt for fastening the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part) - 8 Nm

We perform evacuation of the air conditioning system and load the system with R134a refrigerant, in the amount of 475±35g.

Checking the system for tightness and operability of the air conditioner.

Removing the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

We prepare the car, install it on a lift or a viewing ditch

Removing the pipelines: 1 - pipeline connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part); 2 - pipeline connecting the condenser to the evaporator; 3 - nut; 4 - pipeline holder; 5 - headlight adjustment cable holder; 6 - pipeline connecting the compressor with the evaporator (short part); 7 - piping bolt

With a 10 socket with an extension, unscrew the nut 3, figure 3, holder 4 pipelines

Remove the tube holder

With a 13 wrench, unscrew the bolt 7 of the tubes

Disconnect pipeline 6 connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part) from tube 1 connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

Removing the compressor piping: 1 - piping connecting the compressor to the condenser; 2 - pipeline connecting the compressor with the evaporator (long part); 3 - compressor; 4 - piping bolts

Using a 13 wrench, unscrew the bolt 4, figure 4, fasteners and disconnect the tube 2 connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

We install technological plugs in the compressor hole and on the tubes

Remove the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order withthis:

  • - before installation, add compressor oil to the compressor or condenser, according to the table in the article - How to unload and load the refrigerant of the Lada Largus air conditioning system;
  • - before installing the tubes, you need to replace the o-rings and apply compressor oil to them;
  • - tightening torque of the bolt for fastening the tube connecting the compressor with the evaporator (short part) to the evaporator - 8 Nm;
  • - tightening torque of the bolt for fastening the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part) - 8 Nm

We perform evacuation of the air conditioning system and load the system with R134a refrigerant, in the amount of 475±35g.

Checking the system for tightness and operability of the air conditioner.

Removing the tube connecting the condenser to the evaporator

We prepare the car, install it on a lift or a viewing ditch

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

We remove the front bumper, as described in the article - Removing and installing the bumpers of a Lada Largus car

Removing the pipelines: 1 - pipeline connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part); 2 - pipeline connecting the condenser to the evaporator; 3 - nut; 4 - pipeline holder; 5 - pipeline fastening bolt; 6 - pipeline connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part)

With a 10 head with an extension, unscrew the nut 3, the holder of 4 pipelines

Remove the holder of 4 tubes

With a 10 head with an extension, unscrew the nut 3, the holder of 4 tubes

Remove the 4 pipe holder

Removing the condenser: 1 - pipeline connecting the condenser and compressor: 1 - pipeline connecting the condenser and compressor; 2 - pipeline fastening bolt; 3 - pipeline connecting the condenser and evaporator; 4 - pipeline fastening bolt

Using a 13 head with an extension, unscrew the nut 3, fastening the tube 3 connecting the condenser and the evaporator

Disconnect the tube from the condenser

We install technological plugs on the pipeline and in the hole of the condenser

Disconnecting the evaporator piping: 1 - piping connecting the compressor to the evaporator (short part); 2 - pipeline connecting the condenser to the evaporator; 3 - piping bolts

Using a 13 key, we unscrew bolt 3, fastening pipeline 2 connecting the condenser to the evaporator from the evaporator unit

Remove the tube connecting the condenser to the evaporator

Installation

The installation is carried out in the reverse order:

  • - before installation, add compressor oil to the compressor or condenser, according to the table in the article - How to unload and load the refrigerant of the Lada Largus air conditioning system;
  • - before installing the tubes, you need to replace the o-rings and apply compressor oil to them;
  • - tightening torque of the bolt for fastening the tube connecting the compressor with the evaporator (short part) to the evaporator - 8 Nm;
  • - tightening torque of the bolt for fastening the tube connecting the compressor to the evaporator (long part) - 8 Nm

Removing the tube connecting the compressor to the condenser

We prepare the car, install it on a lift or a viewing ditch

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

We remove the front bumper, as described in the article - Removing and installing the bumpers of a Lada Largus car

Removing the air baffle: 1 - air baffle; 2 - air baffle attachment points

Using a Torx T30 wrench, disconnect the air deflector mounting elements and remove the air deflector

Refrigerant pressure sensor: 1 - plug; 2 - refrigerant pressure sensor; 3 - pipeline connecting the compressor to the condenser

Using a flat screwdriver, disconnect the plug block 1, refrigerant pressure sensor from the vehicle wiring harness

Removing the condenser: 1 - pipeline connecting the condenser and compressor: 1 - pipeline connecting the condenser and compressor; 2 - pipeline fastening bolt; 3 - pipeline connecting the condenser and evaporator; 4 - pipeline fastening bolt

With a 13 head, we unscrew the bolt 2, fastening the tube 1 connecting the condenser to the compressor

Disconnect the tube from the condenser and install technological plugs on the tube and in the hole of the condenser.

Removing the compressor piping: 1 - piping connecting the compressor to the condenser; 2 - pipeline connecting the compressor with the evaporator (long part); 3 - compressor; 4 - piping bolts

With a 13 head, unscrew bolt 4, fastening the tube connecting the compressor to the condenser

Disconnect the tube from the compressor and install technological plugs

Installation

The installation is carried out in the reverse order:

  • - before installation, add compressor oil to the compressor or condenser, according to the table in the article - How to unload and load the refrigerant of the Lada Largus air conditioning system;
  • - before installing the tubes, you need to replace the o-rings and apply compressor oil to them;
  • - tightening torque of the bolts for fastening the pipeline connecting the compressor to the condenser - 8 Nm
